Photo Safari at Jungle Island

Photo Safari at Jungle Island

Photo Safari at Jungle Island

You don’t have to travel around the world to photograph wildlife in natural settings. Join us for this exciting three-part workshop at Jungle Island!

The first part of this workshop starts with an informative and inspiring lecture by photographer and college professor rick McCawley about making great wildlife photos.

Your pre-safari class will provide advice and recommendations for improving your compositions in a zoo environment, instruction on exposure, exposure value, image stabilization mode, shutter speed, as well as how to use your tripod or monopod and learn how to control depth of field to achieve your own beautiful wildlife images.

Then you will take a guided tour with Professor Rick McCawley as he leads participants to animal habitats that offer the best opportunities for photographers and give you assignments to practice what you have learned during the first part of the workshop.

Finally you will come back to class to share, review and critic everyone’s images. A very fun and instructive day which will leave you with the desire to come back to Jungle Island to practice your new skills.
